Water Under the Bridge Dep’t

When Rob Paynter and I returned to the SD61 Board meetings, ans the actions of the Board at the time were found to be ultra vires by the BC Supreme Court, I suggested this motion for a Board agenda before civic elections in October 2022.

The motion was not accepted for the agenda.

Motion from the floor Monday night public meeting:  McNally /

That a) all motions and votes during the illegal suspension of trustees McNally and Paynter, be considered invalid as these were votes of an illegally constituted Board according to a ruling of the BC Supreme Court, and b) that the current Board chair act expeditiously to create an opportunity (ies) for a full legally constituted Board to vote on every motion carried or defeated during the illegal suspension period and c) that the individuals involved in the vote to suspend issue a written public apology for their actions.
