Public goods should be funded by public money through sufficient taxes to provide optimum operation. Both public education and public health – hospitals – are critical public goods, yet both are dependent on fundraising or the personally favoured cause of wealthy philanthropists. Education and hospitals should not have to turn to bake sales and golf tournaments for funding.

Choices Transitoonal Home occupies the former Youth Detention Centre at the end of Talcott Rd, a long block from Eagleview Elementary School.

Here’s how Point of Order works. The Chair has a duty to make sure the rules of the assembly are followed, not the “rules of the Chair” or “Board Traditions” (p 90, Robert’s Rules in Brief”). A “Point of Order” calls attention to the fact that a rule is being broken.
